Jody Weinberg (JD '94) Assists Women In Film
October 23, 2017 -- The non-profit organization Women in Film recently auctioned a lunch with Pepperdine Law alumna and preceptor Jody Weinberg (JD '94) and a behind-the-scenes tour at Pixar Animation Studios to raise money in support of their efforts in connection with women in the entertainment industry and all forms of global media. Additionally, Pixar sponsored a table for the Women In Film Crystal + Lucy 2017 Awards event that Jody attended with alumna Britta Wilson (Pepperdine Doctorate of Education '16 & MBA '92). Jody was recently nominated for the Pepperdine Top 40 Over 40 for her outstanding work in the entertainment field.
Jody Weinberg is Associate Chief Legal Counsel for Pixar Animation Studios. Weinberg's work currently focuses on Business and Legal Affairs and general animation production matters. Prior to her current position, Weinberg was Pixar's Associate General Counsel and Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for Walt Disney Feature Animation. Additionally, she has the rare distinction of being the only lawyer who has worked on every Pixar feature film released to date, including the upcoming film COCO. Weinberg earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Pepperdine School of Law. Weinberg currently is on the Executive Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ("JDRF"), is the co-chair for the 2018 JDRF Imagine Gala, co-chairs the Leadership Committee for the Disney Women's Legal Group and is an Executive Member of Women In Film.
