Jenna Blackmon (JD '13) Joins Female Forward Workspace The Riveter as Community Lead
May 15, 2018 | Alumna Jenna Blackmon, former SBA President for the Pepperdine Law Class of 2013, recently joined The Riveter as its new Community Lead. The Riveter is a female-forward workspace and platform designed for women and their advocates. Instead of opting out, The Riveter invites women to opt up by embracing ambition and tools to succeed in business.
Jenna says, "As Community Lead for The Riveter, my role is to connect with our members and to help them connect to the resources they need in the larger Los Angeles community. This includes overseeing our learning and development programming where we bring professionals from the LA community to our work-space so they can educate our members on a broad range of topics such as How to Confidently Pitch Your Business, Steps for Effective Communication, and Setting Healthy Boundaries in Work and Life. In fact, I am currently planning a workshop series for best legal practices for startups. I find that I am constantly using the knowledge and skills I learned while studying at Pepperdine and in my years of practicing law."
The Riveter is where community gathers, and access to business resources, professional networks, and wellness amenities help our members invite ambition and succeed in business.
The Riveter flagship opened in May 2017 in Seattle and is now preparing for launch of it's third location in West Los Angeles on June 1. Congratulations, Jenna!
