Jack Coe noted for ICC International Court of Arbitration appointments -- Global Arbitration Review
January 18, 2017 | Pepperdine Law professor Jack Coe is prominently mentioned in a recent Global Arbitration Review article titled "Who is sitting at the ICC?" The article discusses the recent disclosure by the ICC International Court of Arbitration of the composition of its arbitral panels. Professor Coe is recognized as being the sole arbitrator in 12 of 30 cases appointed to U.S. arbitrators.
Via the Global Arbitration Review:
US arbitrators appear most often – in 30 cases – though this figure includes the repeat appointment of academic Jack Coe as sole arbitrator in 12 related cases. Switzerland, France, the UK and Germany are the other most represented nationalities.
Overall, arbitrators from Europe made up more than half the appointments. South American arbitrators account for 21% of appointments, with around 8% coming from the Middle East. Africa remains poorly represented: the list includes a dual UK-South African national and a Mauritian, both based in London, but only one arbitrator based on the continent (in Nigeria).
Besides Coe, eight other men have received multiple appointments.
