Investor Advocacy Clinic Students Publish Article of First Impression

Four Investor Advocacy Clinic students from the Spring 2018 semester, Alexandra Brown, Eman Zokaeim, Calvin Jonker and Lindsey Nielson, have just had their article published in the PIABA Bar Journal. The article entitled, "The Lack of Enforceability of Third party Arbitration Discovery Subpoenas," (25 No.2 PIABA B.J. 181) grew out of the Investor Advocacy Clinic defeating a motion brought by a broker dealer against the Clinic's client seeking pre-arbitration discovery of documents in the possession of a third party. The students then expanded their opposition brief into a collaborative research paper edited by Director/ Founder of the IAC ,and Adjunct Professor, Robert A. Uhl, Esq. The article is the first known one to be published in a bar journal or law review comprehensively addressing this topic on a national federal level.
