In Memoriam: David DePaolo (JD '84)
July 19, 2016 -- Pepperdine Law alumnus David DePaolo (JD '84) died in a motorcycle accident in the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu Hills on Sunday, July 17. DePaolo was the founder, president and chief executive officer of WorkCompCentral. DePaolo had recently visited the law school in March, giving a presentation on workers' compensation law.

DePaolo obtained a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1984, a Masters in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Diego State University in 1981. He practiced as a workers' compensation attorney for Miller & Folse, Adelson Testan Brundo & Popalardo, as a sole practitioner, before founding WorkCompCentral.
De Paolo is survived by his wife, Anne; daughter Nichole; and son, Anthony.
