August 25, 2016 -- Professor Babette E. Boliek is quoted in the Forbes article, "Group Challenges CFPB Arbitration Rule As 'Arbitrary' And Unsupported By Data."  The article considers the Cause of Action Institute's challenge to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's proposed rule banning class-action waivers in financial contracts.

"That's a hard lift," added Babette Boliek, an associate professor at Pepperdine University School of Law, who has written about challenges to administrative rules in the telecommunications field. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals approved the Federal Communications Commission's Open Internet rules in June, she noted, despite a lack of hard evidence they would further the agency's statutory goals of making Internet access cheaper and more accessible.
