Entertainment Media and Sports Negotiation Competition Update

Pepperdine Law students Lerae Etienne and Olivia Scott recently competed in the National Basketball Negotiation Competition at Fordham Law School in New York. The Competition consists of a simulated trade negotiation using real-life scenarios and NBA teams and players. Additionally, competitors compete in a simulated negotiation of a marketing and endorsement contract for an up-and-coming NBA player. Lerae and Olivia successfully negotiated in their client's best interest to win the marketing and endorsement during their round of the competition. Straus supports the Entertainment Media & Sports Law ADR competition teams, under the direction of Professor Maureen Weston.
