EMS Program Hosts Symposium on Doping in Sport

On Thursday, April 13, 2016, Pepperdine Law's Entertainment, Media, and Sports program hosted Doping in Sport: How the culture Might Change. The conference was sponsored by the Foundation for Global Sport Development.

The symposium examined the current state of doping in sport. Sir Philip Craven, President of the International Paralympic Committee, provided the keynote presentation. In the two afternoon panels, leading anti-doping regulators, athlete attorneys, team executives, arbitrators, journalists, and athletes discussed their experiences, research and questions on the practical, political, legal, and ethical concerns related to doping, doping control, and what this means for the future of sport.
