Professor Tom Stipanowich will be featured as a foreign commentator for the CCTV (China national TV) series "Arbitration in China" (Arbitration in a Big State), currently in production.  Stipanowich will appear in all five parts of the series, which is co-sponsored by the Chinese Supreme Court, the Legal Working Group of the People's Congress, the State Council Legal Office, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), and other Chinese arbitration commissions, as well as the Chinese University for Political Science and Law, the China Arbitration Institute, the Legal Daily, Legal Net and Xinhua Net.  The documentary, which may reach as many as 100 million people, will examine the history and development of Chinese arbitration.

During Stipanowich's recent visit to China, a CCTV crew filmed him giving a series of TV interviews, presenting speeches at leading universities, and in meetings with the Secretary General of CIETAC, Wang Chengjie, at the famous Chinese Laoshe Tea House and at CIETAC headquarters.  Other segments show him walking and bicycling in Beijing's historic district, and touring the Shanghai Bund. In the interviews, Stipanowich gave his views on modern trends in dispute resolution and commented on developments in Chinese arbitration and mediation from a cross-cultural perspective.
