Caruso Law Building and Parking Lot Closed for Air Handler Unit Replacement | No Access March 4

The Pepperdine University Department of Design and Construction will have IC Air Conditioning replace the Caruso Law air handler rooftop unit. Work will start on March 4 at 8:00 AM and will be completed on Thursday, March 9 at 4:00 PM.

All cars must be cleared from the Caruso Law parking lot before crane operations begin on Saturday, March 4 at 8:00 AM.

The crane will be set up at the Caruso Law Parking lot on Saturday, March 4 at 8:00 AM to lift the new air handler unit to the roof. All crane operations for the project will only occur on day 1, March 4, between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The parking lot will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while the crane operation is being conducted. The remaining mechanical work will be continued on the roof until March 9. Access to the building and parking lot will resume as normal on Sunday, March 5. 

Safety Protocol During crane operation and impacts to anticipate include:

• Crane will arrive at the campus on March 3 and be parked in the FFH parking lot.
• No building occupancy is allowed during the crane lift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No one will be able to enter the building during this time.
• The associated noise of crane set-up and delivery/haul-off vehicles while maneuvering into position will have backup beepers.
