Anthony Ellis (JD '15) and Jonathan Bakhsheshian (JD '14) Speak in Ethical Lawyering Class

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumni Anthony Ellis (JD '15) and Jonathan Bakhsheshian (JD '14), partners of Ellis & Bakh, LLP, spoke in Professor Stephanie Blondell's Ethical Lawyering class on the utility of advertising as attorneys. Specifically, they covered the rules of professional conduct as applied to personal injury law, an industry where some firms spend up to a million dollars a month in advertising. The pair focused on how to help young associates build their book of business, advertise for free, and advertise ethically.

Ellis and Bakhsheshian, who focus in the areas of catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, and motor vehicle collisions, spoke to the students about their unique business model of marketing through expertise. Bakhsheshian commented, "The most valuable thing I have to advertise is myself, my personality, my knowledge, my skills, and my integrity."

Ellis and Bakhsheshian are proud Caruso Law alumni who have hired three current Pepperdine student law clerks and an alumni associate attorney. Ellis and Bakhsheshian are experienced trial attorneys, and both recipients of the Super Lawyer Southern California Rising Star Awards. Ellis is also the Chairman of the litigation section of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Bakhsheshian is a board member of the New Lawyer's Division of Consumer Attorneys of California.
