Straus Institute to Host Second Annual Mediation Competition
On Tuesday, March 15, the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution will be hosting its Second Annual Mediation Competition. The competition will bring together 20 student competitors, alumni, top commercial mediators, and lawyers to judge and mentor students. Professor Stephanie Blondell, who teaches the Mediation Clinic, is spearheading this event, with staff members Randi Redman and Ro Lee, as well as with an Honor Board, which consists of last year’s finalists and participants.
Student competitors will resolve challenges by employing methodology and effective negotiation strategies, and they will be scored on their ability to effectively mediate and apply strategies by distinguished leaders in the ADR community.
If you would like to serve as a roleplayer or timekeeper in the competition, please sign up at Straus Mediation Competition. Volunteers will have a chance to observe mediations in action and support our talented students in the process.
