Restoration and Justice Clinic Helps Secure United States Citizenship for Human Trafficking Client

Caruso Law students Selah Crisp and Susanna Behnam of the Restoration and Justice Clinic helped a human trafficking client to secure United States citizenship. After decades of suffering abuse at the hands of a Mexican cartel and a Los Angeles gang, the client escaped her abuse and sought citizenship in the United States. The client first attained a T-visa and later applied for citizenship.  Selah Crisp and Susanna Behnam assisted the client in her dream of becoming a United States citizen. They met with the client and helped prepare her for the naturalization interview. They practiced citizenship interview questions and provided the client with resources and support. This fall the client passed her naturalization interview and is now a United States citizen.
