Professors Jeffrey Baker and Tanya Cooper Present "Legal and Christian Responses to Human Trafficking" -- Lakeland University

Professors Jeffrey R. Baker and Tanya Asim Cooper presented "Myths, Realities and Strategies: Legal and Christian Responses to Human Trafficking" for Lakeland University's Ulrich Center for Faith, Justice and Ethics. During the online presentation, Professors Cooper and Baker joined Dr. Letitia Campbell of Emory University Candler School of Theology and Dr. Julie Mavity Maddelena of Lakeland University to address human trafficking and discuss legal, social, economic, and community responses to trafficking. They examined the complex, intersecting factors that drive trafficking, the narratives that shape our responses, and the critical need to empower people who are most vulnerable to coercion and exploitation.
