Excerpt from "Racial Justice"

This chapter reminds us that race and caste figure in each and every case, whether we realize it or not. It explores the history, statistics, research, lived experiences, legal frameworks, and strategies to become more aware and work towards racial justice. Finally, this chapter compels us each to question, from our own particular vantage point, what racial justice in child abuse and neglect systems truly looks like, and our respective roles in every case in either perpetuating or disrupting racial bias.
