Professor Michael A. Helfand presented "Using Jewish Law: Jewish Legal Advocacy on Abortion and Religious Liberty" at the Wayne State University Law School's Law Review Symposium. The symposium, titled "The Evolution of Religious Liberty," took place on October 13.

This symposium will bring together leading legal scholars from across the country to explore and discuss the rapidly changing parameters of religious freedom in the United States. Consisting of four, one-hour panels, the symposium will address the various repercussions of recent Supreme Court decisions and what these cases mean for the future.
