Pepperdine Law team competes in 2015 National Sports Law Negotiation Competition

September 26, 2015 -- Pepperdine Law students Ryan Storms, Seth Bromberg, Rachel Luba, and Jessica Freitas represented Pepperdine in the National Sports Law Negotiation Competition at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA.  In this competition comprised of 40 teams, students played the roles of negotiating attorneys representing athletes, and sports foundations in mock negotiations. This competition involves two law students working with two other law students from another school. Both teams work together to find mutual interests and strive for an optimal result for their clients. The rounds are evaluated by a three judge panel, each of whom provides insightful feedback to the students.

"These competitions are incredibly valuable in learning practical skills. Not only did we get the chance to network with numerous sports interested law students from across the country, we had the privilege to test our negotiation skills and receive valuable feedback from those in the sports industry." - Ryan Storms, LLM student
