Pepperdine Law Congratulates Ginsey Varghese Kramarczyk
April 25, 2019 | Pepperdine Law is pleased to congratulate its recent bell-ringer in honor of post-graduate employment success, Ginsey Varghese Kramarczyk! Ginsey was joined by an impressive gathering of celebrants, including Dean Paul Caron, Director of Clinical Education Jeff Baker, members of the Career Development, Administrative Offices, and Deans' Suite, as well as the entire Pepperdine Student Employment Office staff of Shelby Bowman, Kate Suriyatip, Lydia Folkerts, and Tess Marmé. Special guests included Ginsey's law school friends, her husband John, and her parents Wilson and Gigi.
Ginsey has accepted a clerkship at the New Mexico Court of Appeals for Judge J. Miles Hanisee. She applied to clerkships broadly, and learned about the position through the Career Development Office. Ginsey is excited about the opportunity to work with Judge Hanisee and sharpen her legal skill set.
Ginsey completed her master's degree in International Studies, International Business and Economic Relations, at Oklahoma State University. She majored in Government and Theology for her bachelor's degree at Oral Roberts University. Prior to law school, she worked in the social sector and international development in Paraguay, Mumbai, Tel Aviv, and New Orleans for over five years. Ginsey served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay, an associate at Dalberg Development Advisors in Mumbai, on social enterprise startups in Tel Aviv, and as a Business Teacher at an inner city school in New Orleans. Her life passion lies in international development: promoting inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, education, and energy access and building partnerships with corporations, government, investors, NGOs, and community members. Her hope is to unite her business background with her legal skills so she can support companies achieve their strategic objectives and promote innovation that improves livelihoods.
While at Pepperdine Law, Ginsey was involved in the Microenterprise Program which confirmed her passion for the intersection between law and business. She also enjoyed participating in the Interfaith Council where she had the opportunity to get know professors and deans on a personal level. Participating in the Moot Court Team, specifically the International Commerical Arbitration Moot Court Team and competing in Hong Kong with amazing teammates was a highlight of her law school experience.
