Pepperdine Law Congratulates Austin Jones

March 8, 2019 | Pepperdine Law is pleased to congratulate its newest bell-ringer in celebration of post-graduation employment success, Austin Jones! Joining in the celebration were Dean Paul Caron, Dean of Students Naomi Goodno, Dean of Admissions Shannon Phillips, and members of the Career Development and Deans' Suite offices. Special guests included Austin's wife, Morgan, and classmate Beau Carter.

Austin will be joining the law firm of Germer PPLC, located in Austin, Texas. Austin graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013 with a BA in Geography. After graduating, he moved to Puerto Rico and worked for Young Life, a faith based non-profit, for several years. When Austin started at Pepperdine Law, he knew he wanted to end up back in Austin. He began reaching out to attorneys in Texas during his first semester of law school. He  learned about Germer during the summer after his first year while working as an intern for U.S. District Judge Robert Junell in the Western District of Texas. Austin reached out directly to one of the partners at Germer and was invited to interview for a summer position. After his second year of law school, Austin worked as a summer law clerk in Germer's Austin office. At the end of the summer he was offered an associate position to begin after graduation.

Austin and Morgan are expecting a baby twelve days before the Texas bar exam in July!

Congratulations to Austin!
