Law Journal Write-On Competition Information Session for First-Year Students | April 16

The Law Journal Write-On Competition takes place over the summer and is mandatory for every 1L who wants to join one of Pepperdine Caruso Law's four journals during their 2L and 3L years: Pepperdine Law Review, Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law ("JBEL"), Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary ("NAALJ"), and Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal ("DRLJ").

Participating on a journal takes a lot of time and hard work, but it provides rigorous writing and editing experience highly valued by many employers, whether that is the U.S. Attorney's Office, a law firm, or a judicial externship or clerkship. For some employers, journal participation is a prerequisite to apply for the job, such as for a clerkship or for many "Big Law" firms. That is all to say, it is worth your time to consider participating in the Write-On Competition this summer.

On Friday, April 16, 2021, from 12:45pm–1:45pm (PDT) there will be an information session via Zoom to provide you with more details about the Write-On Competition.

Please register here for the event to receive the Zoom link, which will be emailed to registrants the day before the event.
