 June 12, 1926 - August 31, 2015: Helen A. Buckley, Special Trial Judge. She was born June 12, 1926 in San Francisco, Calif. She passed away August 31, 2015. She attended School in San Francisco and graduated from Lowell High School. A.B., University of California, 1951; J.D., University of California Berkeley, 1954. Admitted to California Bar in 1955; District of Columbia Bar, 1956; Iowa Bar, 1977. Trial Attorney, Appellate Section, Tax Division, U.S. Department of Justice, Attorney General's Honor Graduate Program, 1955-60; Tax Counsel, Hunt Foods & Industries, Inc., 1961-63; member of law firm of Pacht, Ross, Warne, Bernhard, and Sears, Los Angeles, 1963-71; Attorney, Norton Simon, Inc., Los Angeles, 1971-74; Professor of Law, University of Iowa, Iowa City, 1974-81; Professor in Residence, Tax Division, Department of Justice, 1979-81; Visiting Professor of Law, Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif., 1981-82; Professor of Law, Temple University, Philadelphia, 1982-83. Appointed Special Trial Judge, United States Tax Court, on June 6, 1983. Retired on August 14, 1994. After retirement became Visiting Professor at Pepperdine University, William Mitchell College of Law, and University of San Diego Law School and Mercer College, Georgia. Forest Lawn Cathedral City was in charge of arrangements.
