EMS LLM Candidate Jeremy Evans Moderates Ethics and Sports Recreation Panel

Jeremy M. Evans (LLM '18), Founder and Managing Attorney at California Sports Lawyer® and current LLM student at Pepperdine Law in the Entertainment, Media, and Sports Law program, moderated a panel at Petco Park on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

The topic was "Ethics and Sports Representation," and the panel featured Barry Axelrod, former attorney and Major League Baseball Player Agent and current Special Assistant to the General Manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Craig Fenech, former Major League Baseball Player Agent and emeritus Sports Lawyers Association Board of Directors member.

 

Attendees were provided with one hour of ethics MCLE credit through Pepperdine Law and then enjoyed a baseball game against the St. Louis Cardinals in a private area with food and beverage following the presentation.  This was the second installment of the Sports Lawyers Association outreach event at Petco Park with two more planned for 2018 and others in the planning stages with the Los Angeles Kings, Rams, Chargers, LAFC, Galaxy, Dodgers, Lakers, and Anaheim Angels and Ducks.
