Disaster Recovery Clinic Part Time Summer Law Clerk Program

Apply by April 19, 2019 | The Disaster Recovery Clinic (located at the School of Law in Malibu) is offering a part-time summer law clerk program, to begin May 20, 2019. The Disaster Recovery Clinic (DRC) is an extension of the Disaster Relief Clinic, formed in response to the Woolsey fire. Students will gain hands-on experience in the transitioning legal needs of clients as matters turn to assistance with navigating bureaucratic and administrative processes related to insurance, government permits and benefits, and rebuilding. This work will include advice and counsel, evaluation and analysis, negotiation and advocacy, research and writing, and guidance on legal matters as they arise and evolve during the course of recovery and rebuilding. Accepted students will receive a $3000 stipend for 12 weeks of work and may choose to earn academic credit.
