Bobby Saadian, Esq. (JD/MBA '05), Founder of Wilshire Law Firm, Donates $50K in 50For50 Initiative
Bobby Saadian, Esq. (JD/MBA '05), a member of the Pepperdine Caruso Law Dean's Council, recently donated $50,000 as part of the new 50For50 Initiative. One of Pepperdine Caruso Law's highly successful alumni, Bobby is the Founding President and Managing Attorney at Wilshire Law Firm in Los Angeles, California. Bobby embodies the Pepperdine mission of purpose, service, and leadership through his career, his commitment to community service, and to his family.
Vice Chancellor and Professor Emeritus Janet Kerr (JD '78), who taught Bobby while he was a law student, said "I am thrilled that Bobby has decided to so generously bless our law school and future students of Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Bobby is an excellent businessman and attorney, which are two professions that don't often go hand in hand. He understands how to not only lead a successful law firm, but personally connect with his clients. I knew when I taught Bobby that he was going to do big things with his career, and it brings me great pride to see him also give back in this way."
Dean Paul Caron remarked, "I am so pleased to see that Bobby Saadian has joined the 50For50 Challenge. His gift will change the lives of our students. Bobby has also generously hired our students, and we are forever grateful to his loyal dedication to his alma mater."
Bobby founded Wilshire Law Firm in 2007. Since then, he and his firm have represented thousands of clients. His total recovery in settlements and verdicts amounts to more than $750 million. Bobby is a full-service personal injury attorney, specializing in major accident and catastrophic injury cases.
Bobby commented, "I pursued a career in personal injury and consumer law because I wanted to change people's lives for the better, and the Caruso School of Law at Pepperdine University helped me make that dream a reality. I contributed to the 50For50 Campaign because I want others to be afforded the same opportunity. It's important to invest in the next generation of attorneys, especially during these challenging economic times when many people are being forced to put their professional goals on hold. I'm grateful to be in a position where I can give back and support students who would otherwise struggle to afford the quality education that the Caruso School of Law has to offer. I invite others to join me in this effort so we can provide more scholarships to students who need them and help bring up future leaders within the industry."
Bobby's professional achievements are impressive, and he has received many awards over the past thirteen years in practice. He was given the prestigious Litigator Award by the Trial Lawyer Board of Regents. He has been selected as a member of the "Nation's Top One Percent" for 2020 by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, along with being named a finalist for 2020 Consumer Attorney of the Year by the Consumer Attorney Association of California (CAOC). Further, his firm has been ranked among the "Best Law Firms" by U.S. News & World Report for 2020 and 2021, and he has individually been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America©.
Bobby was named on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2012 through 2017, and then on the Super Lawyers list for the years of 2019 through 2021. As a result of this recognition as one of the highest-ranked attorneys in Southern California, Bobby was also included in Los Angeles Magazine's list of Top Attorneys.
Another important achievement of Bobby's was being recognized in the Los Angeles Times for achieving a top verdict in Southern California. Bobby and his legal team helped obtain a $17.1 million verdict for an 85-year-old bus accident victim who had suffered catastrophic injuries, including an amputated leg. Bobby is sought out by major media outlets for his legal insight and commentary on notable and high-profile accidents. In the past year, he was seen on ABC's Nightline, FOX News, and KTLA News, and was quoted in a number of notable publications like the L.A. Times. Bobby Saadian is a frequent panel speaker at the Consumer Attorney Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) annual convention in Las Vegas. He is also a President's Club Member of CAOC, and an active Ranch Club Member of the Jerry Spence Trial Lawyer's College.
As a lifetime member of Ethical Lawyers of America, Bobby is dedicated to promoting honesty, integrity, and civility in the legal profession. Bobby champions several charitable causes such as the scholarship initiatives at Pepperdine Caruso Law, and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyer Charities (LATLC). He is also a Corporate Member of the Brain Injury Association of California and various other prominent injury advocacy organizations. For Bobby's full biography, please see his firm page here.
About the 50For50 Initiative
In October 2020, Bobby committed to yet another important cause: the 50For50 Initiative. In commemoration of our 50th anniversary, the $50 million naming gift from Rick and Tina Caruso, and our rise into the ranks of the top 50 law schools in America, we invite 50 of our alumni and friends to help us to rise even higher and to reduce even further our students' debt load.
Like Bobby, each 50For50 Founding Partner provides $50,000 in scholarship support for our students, resulting in an additional $2.5 million in current and endowment scholarship support.
