Barry McDonald moderates panel at Berkeley Law Federalism Conference
November 3, 2017 -- Professor Barry P. McDonald moderates the panel, "How to Think About Federalism Now - and Going Forward," today at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law. Professor Robert J. Pushaw is participating on the same panel. The keynote speech will be delivered by Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky.
From Berkeley Law:
A one-day conference, that will explore "federalism in practice." As we examine the current legal and political landscape, what opportunities does our federated system open up and foreclose? How do the realities of federalism impact the work of policymakers, judges, administrators, advocates, and organizers? Does today's "federalism in practice" require us to alter our understandings of federalism itself?
We hope to explore such questions through deep dives into pressing policy areas. We are particularly interested in policy areas that are salient to California.
