Andranise Baxter (JD '16) Makes Variety Legal Impact Report's "Up Next" List
May 24, 2019 | Andranise Baxter (JD '16) made the Variety 2019 Legal Impact Report's "Up Next" list. The list details up and coming entertainment law attorneys who have
achieved success in their field, and it also names the future"best lawyers in showbiz."
This achievement makes Andranise the most recent/junior law school graduate of any
law school to be named to the list. Baxter is a Music Business Affairs Attorney at
Paradigm Talent Agency. Next year, she plans to serve as a Preceptor for the Parris
Institute for Professional Formation.
From the Legal Impact Report:
Baxter joined Paradigm in April 2018 and quickly established herself as a key member
of the branding and partnerships team, negotiating and drafting live-performance deals
for India Arie and Mercedes Benz, the Steve Miller Band and the San Francisco Giants,
Smash Mouth and the World's Largest Brat Festival, and the Barenaked Ladies and the
American Cancer Society, among others. Prior to entering law school she was on a different
track, earning a B.S. in kinesiology and exercise science/dance from Indiana University.
Baxter said, "Making this list is truly an honor and an achievement that I dreamed of accomplishing. If it were not for Professors Helfand, McDonald, and Goodman, I would not have learned anything about contracts, copyright and music law, all subjects that heavily influence my entertainment practice today. I appreciate Pepperdine for having great professors."
Congratulations, Andranise!
