Alumnae Victoria Slatton (JD '15) and Michelle Stilwell (JD '16) Featured in Teen Vogue
June 28, 2017 -- Victoria Slatton (JD '15) and Michelle Stilwell (JD '16) established Stilwell & Slatton Immigration Law Firm in Washington D.C., and the Pepperdine Law graduates recently sat down with Teen Vogue to discuss the motivation behind their work. Slatton told the magazine, "I realized how privileged I was and I could be doing more. And so I was trying to translate that to my personal life to doing more. We definitely jumped into a profession that is in direct response to the election." The article describes:
"At just 26, Victoria Slatton and Michelle Stilwell are charismatic, smart, and passionate best friends who in March formed their own law firm in Washington, D.C., Stilwell & Slatton. After just a few months of being in business, the two Pepperdine Law School graduates have navigated the law world, learned what it's like to start your own business, and overcome the challenges of being two millennial women in a profession with high stakes right in the president's backyard."
Stilwell added, "Some people would probably say it's part of being young and naive for wanting to change the world," Stilwell says. "But especially with everything going wrong in this election, I think there are just too many things going on to stand by."
