Tom Stipanowich and Veronique Fraser Present "'Mixing Modes' in International Commercial Dispute Resolution"
January 23, 2018 | On Saturday, January 27, Professor Thomas J. Stipanowich and Straus LL.M. alumna Veronique Fraser, a professor at Sherbrooke University School of Law in Montreal, will be in Washington, D.C., discussing their new paper, "'Mixing Modes' in International Commercial Dispute Resolution: The Impact of Culture and Legal Tradition on Kinds of Interplay between Mediation, Evaluation and Arbitration." Their paper is the focus of this year's Institute for Transnational Arbitration's Works in Progress Workshop. Commentators and participants in the workshop include leading scholars and practitioners in the field of international arbitration and commercial law.

In what has become an annual event for the Academic Council, Professor Freddie Sourgens is organizing a Works-in-Progress Workshop to be held in January 2018 in connection with the ITA Academic Council's winter meeting in Washington DC.
