Rachel Luba (JD '16) Featured in Los Angeles Times for Trevor Bauer Dodgers Deal
Pepperdine Caruso Law alumna Rachel Luba (JD '16) is featured in the Los Angeles Times article, "Who is Rachel Luba, the former UCLA gymnast who negotiated Trevor Bauer's deal?" Luba represented former Cincinnatti Reds starting pitcher Trevor Bauer in a three-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which will make Bauer the highest-paid major league player in history in 2021 and 2022. Luba is the youngest certified female MLB agent and Forbes magazine 30 under 30 honoree for 2021.

Luba graduated from UCLA in 2013 before going to law school at Pepperdine. She started in baseball as a salary arbitration attorney with the MLB players association, but left "intent on launching her own agency," she wrote on her website.
Bauer was Luba's first client in 2019.
