Professors Sukhsimranjit Singh and Tiffany Williams Present on Conflict Resolution to International Audience
On May 10, 2021, Professors Suksimranjit Singh and Tiffany Williams presented remarks on the role of gender and culture in conflict resolution to an audience of Indian lawyers, law students, and practitioners. The virtual event was held by Symbiosis Law School and covered a wide range of topics including cross cultural understanding and competence as an essential skill in international litigation and advocacy. More than 400 attendees joined the discussion from India, as well as other countries and across diverse industries.
Professor Singh centered his discussion on the utilization of modern technology to solve global disputes, touching upon his extensive experience in faith-based and cross-cultural ADR. Professor Williams discussed conflict resolution through the lens of gender and spoke about the role of ethics and inter-faith dialogue solving global challenges. Other participants in the event included, Retired Justice Shashikala Gurpur, director of Symbiosis Law School Pune, Ms. Shalini Phansalkar Joshi of the Bombay High Court, and Dr. K. Parameswaran, Associate Professor of Law at Gujarat National University.
