Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh Speaks about ADR’s Future to Colombian Lawyers
On March 24, Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh presented to an audience of Colombian lawyers, law students, and ADR practitioners at an international forum, 30 Años de la Conciliacion en Colombia, which centered on the past, present, and future of conflict resolution. The event was hosted by the Universidad Nacional de Colombia's law and political science departments.
Professor Singh spoke alongside Dr. Alpaslan Ozerdem and Dr. Sarah Cobb, from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Center for Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. The panelists analyzed tension and shared their perspectives on conciliation, touching upon the utility of ADR to promote peace and resolution.
The event was organized by Harbey Peña Sandoval, faculty member and distinguished mediator, who is a JAMS Fellow and friend of the Straus Institute.
