Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh Opens International Academy of Mediator’s Conference in Zurich, Switzerland
Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh delivered the opening address at the prestigious International Academy of Mediators’ joint conference with the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation in Zurich, Switzerland on June 1-3. The conference sought to address the powerful engagement of both hearts and minds, combined with the value of shared experience, within the field of mediation.
Professor Singh’s opening address spoke directly to this issue, speaking on Resolving Conflicts with Heart and Mind. Professor Singh spoke from his cross-border expertise on building bridges across cultures, discussing the What, How, and Why of being peacemakers, sharing the profound and personal story of his grandfather, Saradar Kaka Singh, a freedom fighter for India. Professor Singh closed the presentation by requesting global mediation leaders to support and build each other on this shared journey.
Professor Singh represented the Straus Institute along with several members of the Straus community, including professors Steve Paul, Diego Falack, and former Straus managing director Peter Robinson, who received the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award.
