Professor Gregory S. McNeal presented "Understanding Venture Capital Term Sheets" for the Pepperdine Caruso Law Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.  Professor McNeal successfully started a drone software company that raised nearly $100 million in venture capital. He described a venture capital term sheet from the viewpoint of a founder, not an attorney. Professor McNeal explained common mistakes with enormous consequences that business people make when negotiating with rapacious venture capitalists.
