Professor Chris Goodman Presents "How Incivility and Implicit Bias Can Impact Your Case" -- Practicing Law Institute Studio
Professor Chris Chambers Goodman presented "How Incivility and Implicit Bias Can Impact Your Case" for the Practicing Law Institute Studio in San Francisco. Along with co-presenter Chambord Benton-Hayes, Professor Goodman filmed a one-hour continuing legal education presentation that satisfies the new California State Bar civility requirement.
From the Practicing Law Institute:
Welcome to The Civility Series, a collection of important discussions that explore civility in various aspects of the legal profession. This series focuses on the intersection of civility and bias and how incivility can impact, and even violate, certain rules of professional conduct. In this session, our program faculty will highlight the intersection between implicit bias and incivility and how the two go hand-in-hand. Faculty will also provide tips on how lawyers may recognize, prevent, and address potential and actual instances of incivility arising from implicit bias from opposing counsels towards them or their clients.
