The US military has confirmed that about 700 Marines will be sent to Los Angeles to deal with the ongoing protests there. The protests were sparked by a surge in raids and arrests as part of President Trump's anti-immigration policies. He caused controversy by sending National Guard troops to deal with the situation. California's governor, Gavin Newsom, says he will sue President Donald Trump over that decision.
