Pepperdine Team Competes in Inaugural Sneaker Law Competition and Conference

Pepperdine Caruso Law second-year student Rashad Ismail and Graziadio Business School student Andrea Usuga competed together in the first annual Sneaker Law: The Art of the Sneaker Deal case study competition and conference at the University of Miami. The students represented sneaker designers on issues including intellectual property protection of sneakers, rights of publicity, licensing deals, and collaboration agreements. The team was judged by industry lawyers and business executives.  The Pepperdine Institute for Entertainment, Media, Sports, and Culture sponsored the students to participate in the competition.
