Pepperdine Law Review write-on competition: David Barney submits top article
July 26, 2016 -- The Pepperdine Law Review's senior article editors have selected a submission by David Barney as the top entry in this year's write-on competition. The article was a case note on the Supreme Court's recent decision in United States v. Elonis, 135 S.Ct. 2001 (2015) regarding the limitation of speech on the social media. The case note will be published online in this year's Annual Volume under the title "Elonis v. United States: Why The Supreme Court Punted On Free Speech."
The annual Law Review write-on competition gives current students an opportunity to be selected for a place on the Pepperdine Law Review staff. Approximately 94 students participated in this year's write-on competition.
