Pepperdine Caruso Law Congratulates Weston Whitener
Pepperdine Caruso Law is proud to congratulate its latest bell-ringer in honor of post-graduate employment success, Weston Whitener! Joining Weston for the celebration were Dean Paul Caron, director of the Sudreau Global Justice Institute Cameron McCollum, directors and members of the Career Development, Deans' Suite, and Administration Offices, Weston's wife Caroline and law school classmates, and his family members on Zoom. Prior to ringing the bell, Weston thanked everyone present; his parents, grandparents, and aunt and uncle who helped him while he took the LSAT and applied to law school; and particularly his grandmother who encouraged him to go to law school and specifically Caruso Law.
Following graduation, Weston will work as an associate attorney at Starkenburg-Kroontje P.S. in his hometown of Lynden, Washington. Weston interned with his employer, Lesa Starkenburg-Kroontje, over his 2L summer. He's excited to return to her generalist practice, focusing on land use and real property transactions.
Weston received his bachelor's degree from Whitworth University, double-majoring in political science and theatre. Before attending law school he worked in news radio and video marketing. During his time at Caruso Law, Weston enjoyed competing for the Moot Court and Trial Teams, joining the Christian Legal Society, and meeting his wife, Caroline.
Weston thanks God, Caroline, his parents, sister, extended family, good friends both at Pepperdine and back home, excellent professors, and Lesa for their help and encouragement. He's especially thankful for his Grandma Elsie, who encouraged him to pursue a career in law and apply to Pepperdine.
Congratulations to Weston!
