Pepperdine Caruso Law to Celebrate 19th Amendment Centennial Anniversary

From February 24–28, 2020, the Harnish Law Library at Pepperdine Caruso Law will recognize the centennial anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment by hosting the American Bar Association's (ABA) traveling exhibition regarding the right to vote.

ABA President Judy Perry Martinez writes, "The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote. The passage marked the largest expansion of democracy in the history of our country. This historic centennial offers an unparalleled opportunity to commemorate a milestone of democracy and to explore its relevance to the issues of equal rights today."

The exhibit will consist of a special educational display in the library that will highlight the battle for women's full and equal exercise of their right to vote and participate in democracy.
