Online MDR Student Tamara Floyd Featured in CNN Coverage of Seattle Protests

Pepperdine Caruso Law online Masters of Dispute Resolution student, Tamara Floyd, who is a lieutenant with the Seattle Police Department, is featured in CNN coverage of recent protests in the Seattle area. Lieutenant Floyd initiated several conciliatory conversations with protestors, speaking to some groups for over four hours. Lieutenant Floyd shares of the experience, "We have to find the leaders in my profession that are willing to dig deep inside and lead a change across this country that will bring about a better day. But to do so, we have to start that raw conversation and it is painful and it is difficult and it is exhausting. I have no idea what today will bring or tomorrow but I'm willing to go out there and keep trying, trying to do better."
