In Memoriam: Stephen Austin Cain (JD '82)

May 24, 2017 -- Pepperdine Law alumnus Stephen Austin Cain (JD '82) passed away on May 2, the victim of a fatal shooting.  He is survived by his wife, Maureen, and children Patrick and Kelly.

Steve was born in Eureka, CA. He earned a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Economics from St. Mary's College of California and his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. On September 5, 1992 Steve and Maureen were married at St. Mary's Church in Walnut Creek. They had two children in Walnut Creek before moving to Modesto. He practiced law for over 33 years as a trial attorney.
