Chris Goodman featured at California Women Lawyers events

June 16, 2017 | By Kylie Larkin -- Professor Christine Chambers Goodman, current president of California Women Lawyers, has been recently featured at prominent events throughout Northern and Southern California. On June 9, Professor Goodman gave the closing remarks at the California Women Lawyer's 4th annual Elect to Run event, a program to educate and encourage women to run for public office, which was held in San Francisco.  During her remarks, Professor Goodman encouraged the attendees to accomplish 50 percent female representation in elective office by the year 2020.  On June 7, Professor Goodman presented "Interrupting Bias in the Legal Profession," at an event held by the Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo County.  During the Orange County Women Judges Reception, held on April 25 at Whittier Law School, Professor Goodman spoke about California Women Lawyers and participated in the recognition of women judicial officers. On April 17, Professor Goodman was the keynote speaker at the Long Beach Women Lawyers Installation Dinner, where she spoke about the importance of community service and other ways attorneys can give back to their communities.

During the California Women Lawyers events, Professor Goodman was able to connect with distinguished Pepperdine Law alumnae, including Sabrina Ashjian (JD '07), Linda Selig Blonsley (JD '79), Lori Kim (JD '06), and Heather Mills (JD '97).
