How to Apply
The Fellowship Program
The Palmer Center Fellowship Program is a separate program from the Palmer Center Certificate Program. All who are accepted into the Fellowship Program will also be accepted into the Entrepreneurship Certificate Program at that time. Pepperdine Caruso School of Law students completing their first year of study and enrolled in the JD or JD/MBA program may apply to become Palmer Center Fellows. The Fellowship will only be open to apply in your rising 2L year.
The application deadline to apply for the Palmer Center Fellowship Program is on June 16 by 5:00 pm.
To become a Palmer Fellow please prepare to submit the following:
- Current Resume
- Transcripts (All unofficial and current)
- One-page essay discussing your interest in a Palmer Center Fellowship, how you may benefit the Palmer Center, and any other information you wish to provide.
Students on academic probation may not become a Palmer Center Fellow.
Depending on the number of applications received, the Palmer Center may limit the number of new students admitted into the Palmer Center Fellowship. Applicants will be considered based upon the strength of the materials submitted as well as a personal interview with a Palmer Center Staff member.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND THE LAW CERTIFICATE
Currently enrolled Pepperdine law graduates and Fellows who believe they meet all qualifications to receive an Entrepreneurship and the Law Certificate should submit a course concentration worksheet for review and approval in their 3L spring semester. The certificate program does not require selection into or participation in the Fellows program. Submit here your Certificate Approval Request Form for the Entrepreneurship and the Law Certificate for a review by the Palmer Center Executive Director and Dean Shannon Phillips to receive the approval.
