Women's Legal Association Hosts Annual Tea
September 26, 2017 | The Pepperdine Law Women's Legal Association hosted its annual tea at the home of Dean Paul Caron and his wife, Courtney. The student organization convened for its monthly meeting in which students are invited to speak openly with faculty members regarding the advancement of women in the legal profession. Professors Boliek, Goodno, and Knaplund were also in attendance to share anecdotes and answer questions about their unique experiences as women working in legal industries.
Jenna King (JD '18) currently serves as President of the WLA, and Professor Christine Goodman acts as faculty adviser.
King shared, "It is wonderful to have a male dean who is so committed to supporting our female students and faculty. Dean Tacha was such a beacon for the women on our campus, and Dean Caron really has picked up the torch and for that, I am incredibly grateful. The mission of WLA is to empower our women, advocate for them, and connect them to a supportive community. Our women are brilliant and capable, and I am honored to help them achieve their dreams."
WLA members were treated to a lavish spread of afternoon tea classics, including scrumptious scones and sandwiches.
