Weston Rockers (JD '09) receives California State Bar 2016 Morning Star Award

June 6, 2016 -- Pepperdine Law alumnus Weston B. Rockers (JD '09) has received the 2016 Morning Star Award from the Real Property Section of the California State Bar. The award was presented at the Real Property Section Retreat held in Monterey on May 20-22. Rockers is an associate at Downey Brand LLP, located in Sacramento, California.

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar honored real estate associate Weston Rockers with a Morning Star Award.  Weston was one of four California young lawyers to receive this year's annual award and was formally recognized for his dedication and professional excellence in real estate law at the 2016 Real Property Law Section Retreat in Monterey on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

Weston is a transactional attorney with a practice focused primarily on real estate law.  He represents tenants, landlords, developers, and lending institutions across a broad range of specialties, with an emphasis in commercial leasing, purchase and sale, and acquisition and development finance transactions.  Weston earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010 and works out of the firm's Sacramento office.
