October 16, 2015 -- Tomas A. Kuehn (JD '99) was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as the 2015 top Corporate Counsel for a private company with over $500 million in revenues.  Tomas is Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel for ValleyCrest Companies located in Calabasas, California.  There were 31 finalists for the top four in-house counsel awards in the categories of Private Company, Public Company, Nonprofit Company, and Government/Municipal/Public Sector.

The Los Angeles Business Journal presents the Corporate Counsel Awards annually to recognize candidates in each category for "exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of in-house responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large."
