Tom Stipanowich presents on global state of Dispute Resolution at two prominent conferences in Northeast

Professor Tom Stipanowich presented "The International Evolution of Mediation: A Call for Dialogue and Deliberation" (SSRN) at the Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut.  The event is part of the Yale-Quinnipiac Dispute Resolution Workshop series. Stipanowich's presentation took stock of the global expansion of mediation practice and related challenges. The last time Stipanowich gave the Yale-Quinnipiac lecture was on September 10, 2001, the day before the World Trade Center attack. More information on the presentation may be found at www.qu.edu.

On Friday, October 14, Stipanowich participated on a panel titled "Arbitrator Practices that Foster Settlement/Mixing the Processes – the Spectrum Across the Globe."  The presentation was part of the Fordham International Arbitration and Mediation Conference taking place at Fordham School of Law in New York City.  Professor Stipanowich discussed the role of arbitrators in settlement and the work of the Straus Institute's International Task Force on Mixed Mode Dispute Resolution. For more information, please see fordham.edu.
