Straus Institute to Host Leadership for Attorneys in Business Program
October 4, 2018 | The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, in a first of its kind partnership with the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University, is gearing up to host Leadership for Attorneys in Business. This sophisticated four-day program has been created with associate and general counsel, as well as private practice attorneys, as the central focus. The Leadership for Attorneys in Business program will deliver a structured approach to business management that includes tools, resources, and concepts designed to increase the value and productivity of attorneys who work within corporations, or who are charged with law practice operational responsibilities.
The Straus Institute Managing Director, Sukhsimranjit Singh, describes Leadership for Attorneys as "a cutting edge and revolutionary program that will help attorneys think outside the box on all issues connected to their law practice, management, and leadership."
Participants will learn to:
- Offer legal advice that enables the achievement of business goals
- Understand financial reporting and the financial impact of legal advice
- Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and internal clients
- Frame advice for maximum impact and build relationships with key decision-makers
