Straus Institute brings conflict resolution training for law enforcement to Los Angeles Police Department

November 1, 2016 -- On October 20, Professors Blondell and Robinson delivered a Conflict Resolution Training for over two hundred employees of the Los Angeles Police Department's Office of Constitutional Policing & Policy. Straus was invited by the Director of the Office, Arif Alikhan, one of many dispute resolution leaders in the Department. As a part of our on-going partnership with the Department, Straus offered scholarships to LAPD Officers in the Master of Dispute Resolution Program. The fall semester brought us six outstanding LAPD (officers, detectives and sergeants); we will admit another group this spring. LAPD, thank you for your service!
