Straus Institute Co-Hosts International Seminar on Dispute Resolution

On October 17, the Straus Institute co-hosted the inaugural "International Seminar on Dispute Resolution: Best Practices and Future Trends," in collaboration with the Army Institute of Law (AIL) in Mohali, India. Panelists included Professor Sukhsimranjit Singh, who serves as Managing Director of the Institute, the Honorable Daniel Weinstein (Ret.), Honorable Alexander Williams III (Ret.), and Professors Peter Robinson, Stephanie Blondell, and Steve Rottman.

Professor Singh delivered the opening address and emphasized the increasing influence of dispute resolution on a global scale. He also discussed India's crucial role as a nation in utilizing ADR practices to resolve disputes. The panelists engaged in discussions on topics including the current and future path of ADR in India, the increasing role of women in mediation, and how ADR history will shape the coming wave of mediation within India and Asia. Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Principal of AIL, concluded the event with a heartfelt thanks and an invitation to continue further partnership with Straus Institute.
